THE RECKLESS LOVE OF GOD

"...Oh the overwhelming, never ending, reckless love of God...". Heyy you, thank you for taking out time to read this. I believe by God's grace it will be worth the time. On to business now. The opening words in the quotation marks are from a song titled Reckless Love by Steffany Gretzinger. If you've never heard it I implore you to listen and play it over and over as it has ministered to me. Reckless love of God? Is that a typo? NO!. How dare you say God's love is reckless? Have you lost your mind? God is all-knowing, how can He be reckless?. All these are questions I'm not surprised at but allow me to surprise you. God's love is the definition of RECKLESS. Think about it. How do You send Yourself to the world to die for people You don't need who are not yet born and with no guarantee of their loving You back? IT MAKES ZERO SENSE! Ladies and gentlemen *drumroll* I give you God's love a.k.a Reckless love. God's love is unexplainable. Many of

Desire, Discipline and Destination

Heyy guys!! Hope y'all had a great week! Thanks for tuning in again 😊. Now I know looking at the topic you're almost so sure I'm going all desire vs discipline in reaching your destination. I hate to disappoint you but this time I must. Contrary to what you might have expected, what I'm on about today is how DESIRE and DISCIPLINE work together in getting you to your destination. As I'm known to do, I give an analogy to illustrate this: If I desire to get to point B from where I am and I am not disciplined enough to stay the course I'll never make it or maybe I'll make it but not in the best time possible. Desire may get me started but discipline is needed for me to continue and eventually make it to my destination (and in good time too). Another instance which I see very often actually is: You desire(you've been desiring for a long long time) to be fit so you start working out. Along the line you stop and are still not at your "destination".

The W H Y

Why?!!!!!  That's a very big question that we all need to ask ourselves but very many do not (unfortunately). In the English Language as most of us are aware, the question "why?" brings two things to mind: The REASON FOR something and the PURPOSE OF something. Did someone just say "but they're the same thing"? Au contraire my friend they differ slightly and to illustrate, here's an analogy : You see someone sleeping shirtless at night and wake them up to ask "why?" And he or she says"it was too hot to sleep fully clothed so I took my shirt off to keep cool". That reply is twofold. It conveys both REASON and PURPOSE. The REASON they are shirtless is that it was too hot and the PURPOSE FOR being shirtless is to keep cool.  From the analogy above, it's not difficult to see that the REASON for something is often reactive and the PURPOSE is proactive.  You may want to pause here and soak this in. The "WHY" I'm d
