Know God or Know of Him? πŸ‘€

Hello there my favourite reader! Thanks for your continued readership in 2020. I trust you had a swell holiday. I wish you the best in 2020 and God's perfect will for you in all areas in Jesus' name.

As the year begins, it's natural to have a list of things you would like to tick off during the year. Depending on who you are and where you are in life, those could range from getting a new job, getting married, having kids, to getting a wife for your son who seems to be delaying (πŸ‘€)  or getting better grades in school πŸ‘¨‍πŸŽ“.

Regardless of what your goals are, I have one question: Do you know God? Yes God, the Maker and Sustainer of ALL THINGS now and forever.

Before you answer in the positive, I would like you to consider this passage of Scripture and what that means for your answer:

“Don’t worry and say, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ That’s what those people who don’t know God are always thinking about. Don’t worry, because your Father in heaven knows that you need all these things.
Matthew 6:31‭-‬32 ERV

Jesus Himself said that your inclination to worrying is an indication that you either do not know Your Father in heaven or do not trust Him (possibly because you do not know Him). Worrying gives you no hope but plenty of time at the beachside resort of headache. It truly can drain even the good of today by focusing you on the uncertainty of tomorrow.

I want you to as a matter of duty, first to yourself and then to those around you, kill worry at all cost in 2020 and beyond. It does you NO good.

I don't know about you but I have heard and written down (learn to write things downπŸ‘€) some extremely crazy things; absolutely inconceivable things that the Holy Spirit has said about my life in various areas in 2020. Naturally I would try to figure things out and I had already begun to worry myself sick but I remembered that-

What you should want most is God’s kingdom and doing what he wants you to do. Then he will give you all these other things you need.
Matthew 6:33 ERV

I have resolved to focus on the things of God (do not reduce this in your mind to opening and closing churchπŸ‘€. It's much more) and just watch Him set things up for me in grand style. He is the Extraordinary Strategist, Impossibility Specialist.

One more thing I want to leave you with is a quote from Pastor Justin Dailey (of Action Church, Florida). He said "Faith starts where understanding ends". Think on that

Dear Lord, thanks so much for all Your love towards us. We ask that You help us to seek You and trust You in all things even as You work them out for our good. May this year bring us Your best and bring out the best in us in Jesus' name.

Have a great 2020! Remember to share o😁
