Move The Battle Line 🎺

Greetings dear reader! I trust this meets you well. It's yet another week and another one to be grateful and purposeful at that. I trust God has been good to you because that's who He is. I pray you are blessed today as always and that you share and this blesses someone new today in Jesus' name.

Today, we look at another strategy in overcoming temptation. Remember every temptation that God allows to come your way, He knows that you can overcome.

No temptation [regardless of its source] has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience [nor is any temptation unusual or beyond human resistance]; but God is faithful [to His word—He is compassionate and trustworthy], and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability [to resist], but along with the temptation He [has in the past and is now and] will [always] provide the way out as well, so that you will be able to endure it [without yielding, and will overcome temptation with joy].
1 Corinthians 10:13 AMP

With anything you want to achieve, strategy is key! So the strategy I want you to adopt going forward by God's grace, through His Spirit is shifting the battle line.

What do I mean? Before you actually sin, there's temptation and depending on how repetitve your actions are, even the temptation stage becomes more subconscious and hence subtler. If you did not know or notice that before today, I hope you have now.

Even beyond the fact that sin is preceded by temptation, temptation has levels. How do I mean? Before Eve was tempted to eat the forbidden fruit, she was tempted over and over to look at the fruit and that she fell into. Before every major fall, there's a series of "mini-temptations". If you will have victory over the enemy and temptation, you need to identify those toll gates or mini-tempations and win there. Don't let it get to the main road.

We have a saying that "what you don't want to eat, do not smell". Don't go testing your self control. You will often find out it's not what you thought it to be. If you have a drinking problem, resist the temptation to hang out with friends that drink and you won't face the temptation of drinking with them. If your problem is women, stop at hello, don't collect her number and you won't have to resist the temptation of secret midnight calls which end you where you don't want to be. Wisdom is profitable to direct my friend.

Our Eternal, All-knowing, God of wisdom, we adore You and we worship You today. Thank You for the gift that is You. Thank You for progressive revelation of who You are and the strategies You give us to live victoriously. Help us Lord to be wise and not just knowledgeable in Jesus' name (amen).

Respect the Anointing

Heyyy folks, welcome to an unusual discussion at an unusual time of the week too👀. I hope your week has been good so far. I bet if anything came to mind when you saw the topic of today's post, it was "we must respect men of God" or "the anointing you don't respect cannot work for you". Those are good and true but not today's context. Today I'm asking you to respect the anointing on YOUR life. Every child of God has an anointing on their life.
