Your Name ๐Ÿ™Œ

Heyyy heyyy. Welcome to this week's post. I'm glad you made it here 😁. The inspiration for this title "Your Name" is a song by Onos that I have fallen in love with over and over and it's titled "Your Name". If you listen and it does not touch you even small, come and beat me 😂. It helped me out of a sticky situation very recently so I titled the post as such. There's something I want to share with you today and it may or may not shock you. You may see me or read my posts and say "Lord I want to love you like Nathaniel loves you or I want you to use me like you use him". There's nothing wrong with that really. We all aspire to attain levels of anointing we see at work in the lives of those we respect. The truth I want to share is that nobody has it together 100% of the time. Every man of God has low moments if they'll be honest with you. David, God's friend was depressed at certain times. I have experie...

Proper Worship?๐Ÿค”

Hello there! It's been a while. I trust you are well and hope you are eager to hear from God today😁. "PROPER WORSHIP". What does that mean? Singing on key? Playing instruments amazingly? Getting the timing of song?. What does "Proper Worship" really mean?🤔 Well it means more than we know. We will forever be students in the school of proper worship. We must improve daily in the quality of worship we give to God👀. My aim today beyond telling you what I just did is to open your eyes to an open secret about proper worship. This open secret like many other beautiful truths in the word of God comes from a letter written by the Apostle Paul. In Romans 12 vs 1, it says "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship." NIV Presenting your body as a living sacrifice HOLY and PLEASING to GOD is ...

The Blessing of Fatherhood ๐Ÿค—

Heyy there! It's been two weeks since we were here together. Welcome back 😁. Last time, we talked about how you and I were not made for ourselves but for others, how our purpose is found not in self-service but in selfless service. Today, I have no idea where I'm going with this but I am going to let the Holy Spirit drive because no good has ever come of resisting Him in my experience. So let us begin! "The Blessing of Fatherhood ". Apologies to my sisters and die-hard feminists. I did not choose this topic 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️. Fatherhood as we all may agree is the state of being a Father, either by default or by choice as evidenced by a sense of responsibility for someone or something. I myself am not a father yet but I can lean on the testimonies I see of fathers all around that it indeed is a blessing to have someone call you "daddy". It probably brings a sense of pride and fulfilment as it should....

You Were Not Made For You ๐Ÿ‘€

Chaiiiiiiii How did I fail to post for a whole month? LORD forgive me and my wonderful reader I beg for your forgiveness. It's a new dawn! Lady or gentleman, It's a new dawn in my life as I turn a year older today and it's only fitting that I bring you a message like this from the Lord. One important way to understand the mind of God my dear friend is to study creation. A careful study of creation can unearth some divine and key spiritual principles. Today, we look at creation together and hopefully you come to a conclusion I and many others have. Look at the sun, what is its usefulness? Lighting the world yeah? Without a world would the sun serve any use? No! It would be of no value. Look at the sea. Does it exist for its own sake? No. Among many things it exists for the aquatic life which themselves do not exist for themselves. To summarise the matter, remember this always : NOTHING IN ALL OF CREATION finds its purpose in self-service. Nothing God made was made to ser...

T E M P L E⚡⚡

Gooooooooood eveniiiiiiiiing. I hope you had an amazing weekend and are ready to take this week by storm!!!!. You've heard it said that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit(or at least I hope you have). If you have not, no be me talk am sha Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? I Corinthians 6:19 NKJV I have always seen this scripture as applicable in a strict sense to maintaining purity in the context of avoiding sin but recently it hit me in a different light. A temple is often dedicated to the worship of a certain deity and it is believed that such a deity is present in that temple. What that means is things that are not in agreement do not dwell there. Depending on which is stronger, one force bows to the other where there is conflict. If our bodies are temples dedicated to the Living God (and they are👀👀), it follows that whatever does not agree wit...

God's Style ๐Ÿค”

Heyy there, thank you for reading today. God bless you. I trust you've had a good weekend and are ready to take this new week by storm💪. At my church, we've been taking a series "Hall of Faith: Lessons from the Elders" and we have taken different elders so far : Abel, Enoch and today we took a lesson from Noah. Primarily the focus was on Noah and how he for several decades ignored ridicule and continued to do what to many was insane. He continued to build an ark of that magnitude in the face of ridicule and with no rain in sight. What great faith he had. It's worthy of note that this faith could only have come by experience got from personal fellowship (walking closely with God)👣👣. Noah's faith and obedience in the story teach us many things really but they are not the focus for today. Today we focus on another character in the story : God. God's specifics and detailed instructions in the story (Genesis 6) are astoni...

Every Step ๐Ÿ‘ฃ

Hello my friend! Welcome again to another post on the Memoirs...blog. I hope you had a fantastic weekend and look forward to the new week for it will bring you good in Jesus' name. I believe one way or another you have encountered the proverb "the journey of a thousand miles begins with a step". Let me stretch and tell you that the journey of eternity begins with a step. At any given time, you have the choice to travel in two directions at the very least. Matter-of-fact, there are only two directions when it comes to eternity. You either walk towards God or away from God. There's no other direction and hear this:  YOU ARE NEVER STAGNANT. Every Step you TAKE or DO NOT TAKE, moves you in God's direction or the opposite direction. Do not be deceived, you will naturally walk away from God if you do not INTENTIONALLY go toward Him in fellowship. I always say that no matter how far you've gone in either direction, your power of choice remains and so turnaround is...
